PRP Therapy

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. PRP is an extract taken from your blood in which the red cells and white cells are removed, leaving the platelets behind in a yellow-coloured fluid called blood plasma. When platelets are exposed to ozone, then become “activated” causing them to release growth stimulating proteins. This helps with healing and regeneration of damaged areas in the body. PRP is especially powerful when combined with ozone therapy – so powerful in fact that we never use PRP without ozone. Continue reading below to learn more about PRP therapy.

  • growth factors act on stem cells stimulating new blood vessel growth and regeneration
  • very powerful when combined with ozone, for tissue healing and regeneration (healing of osteoarthritis for example)
