Wellness Infusions

Intravenous infusion is a technique to administer medicines to your body directly into the bloodstream. Infusion allows complete delivery of the desired dose of medication without having to worry about incomplete absorption if the medicine were taken by mouth. Also infusion allows us to achieve much higher levels of the medicine in the blood compared to what is possible with oral dosing. Some medicines are broken down by stomach acid, so they are not effective if taken by mouth. Infusion gets around this problem. Some medicines are rapidly broken down by the liver when taken by mouth, so infusion bypasses this issue.

Sano Via is an inspected and certified intravenous infusion center (certified by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario). At Sano Via we offer a number of advanced infusions such as blood ozonation (including high dose or “10-pass”), anti-aging infusions and antioxidant infusions. We also offer specialized intravenous therapy to help the body heal and repair cell membranes naturally, and pure marine plasma infusion for the most balanced and natural rehydration after illness or extreme sporting event.

Acute Injury / Sports Injury / Chronic Pain

In Canada, 35% of injuries occur during participation in sports or exercise. Two–thirds of injuries among people aged 12 to 19 are related to sports (data from Stats Canada).

Sprains and strains (over-stretched or torn tendons, ligaments or muscles) are the most common types of injury (51%). About 2.29 million Canadians requested medical treatment within 48 hours of their injury in 2009–2010. The main causes of injuries were falls and overexertion. In USA, personal exercise accounted for over ½ million injuries in 2017. The most common sports associated with injuries were basketball, cycling, football, soccer and baseball. (National Safety Council 2017 data).

Injuries don’t always heal on their own as expected. Several factors can contribute to slow recovery or chronic pain related to injuries. These include older age, chronic infection, poor diet, smoking, poor circulation, low metabolism, hormonal deficiencies and toxins in the body.

At Sano Via we use advanced therapies such as medical ozone and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to accelerate healing of sports injuries. Our therapies also kick-start the healing process for chronic injuries (and other chronic pains) that have not healed in weeks or months. Intravenous high dose ozone can also be used to accelerate the healing of fractures. We also offer specialized intravenous therapy to help the body heal and repair cell membranes naturally, and marine plasma infusion for the most balanced and natural rehydration after illness or extreme sporting event.

Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention and Management

Heart disease and stroke are listed as the second and third leading causes of death in Canada in 2018 (data from Stats Canada).

Heart disease deaths are mostly due to heart attacks, which are defined as death of part of the heart muscle due to a blockage of an artery supplying blood that feeds it oxygen and nutrients. Major heart attacks can lead to heart failure, where the heart is not able to pump enough blood to supply the organs. Stroke is like a heart attack that happens in the brain: death of part of the brain due to a blockage of an artery supplying blood to it. These conditions are caused by vascular disease which is a narrowing and inflammation of the arteries. When a clot forms in a narrow artery, there is a sudden reduction of blood flow, and a heart attack or stroke happens.

Vascular disease is caused by factors such as aging, diabetes, chronic infection, high cholesterol, poor diet, smoking, hormone imbalance, genetic factors, vitamin deficiency and toxins in the body. Reduced blood flow due to vascular disease in other parts of the body can cause gangrene in the legs and feet, kidney failure, a common type of dementia (vascular dementia) and erectile dysfunction.

At Sano Via Wellness, we can determine the individual factors that lead to heart disease, stroke or other forms of vascular disease using advanced non-invasive testing. We correct the abnormalities using non-toxic medications or powerful natural therapies. Our personalized evidence-based approach is based on analysis of published research from around the world. This allows us to prevent heart disease and even reverse changes in the arteries that lead to heart attack or stroke.

Heavy Metal Toxicity Management

In the course of our lives we are often exposed to metals that are toxic to the body in small quantities. Common metals that are harmful to the body include lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic, aluminum and uranium.

Some examples of health problems that result from metal toxicity are memory loss, depression, nausea, poor appetite, nerve damage (with numbness or pain), high blood pressure,  joint pains, autoimmune disease, heart attack or stroke.

At Sano Via Wellness, we can measure heavy metals in the body with advanced testing. Typically we first need to extract the metals that may be stuck within your cells using a special medication. This allows the kidneys to remove the metals, so we can then use a urine test for accurate measurement. Once we determine if you have heavy metal toxicity, and which metals are present, we can select the right treamtent for you. Our personalized evidence-based approach is based on analysis of published research from around the world. This allows us to reverse heavy metal toxicity to prevent or manage related diseases.

Osteoarthritis / Degenerative Disease Management

Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis that affects more Canadians than all other forms of arthritis combined (data from the Arthritis Society).

Osteoarthritis is a joint disease that leads to breakdown of the bone and the smooth overlying cartilage. It is a major cause of disability and lost productivity. Osteoarthritis affects nearly 5 million Canadians.

Arthritic joint damage can happen when healthy joints are exposed to heavy loads over many years. Other causes include abnormally shaped joints, previous joint injury or being overweight. It is also felt that aging, chronic infection, poor diet, smoking and toxins in the body may contribute. The joints most commonly affected include the knees, hips, spine, hands and big toes. Common arthritis symptoms include joint pain or aching, stiffness, reduced range of movement and swelling. The symptoms may vary day-to-day but overall the pain tends to increase over time until pain medications or joint replacement surgery is needed.

At Sano Via Wellness, we can determine individual factors that lead to osteoarthritis using advanced non-invasive testing and we correct them using non-toxic medications or powerful natural therapies. Our personalized evidence-based approach is based on analysis of published research from around the world. This allows us to prevent or manage osteoarthritis effectively and delay or avoid use of risky medications or major surgery.

Autoimmune / Inflammatory Disease Prevention and Management

Allergies and autoimmune diseases affect millions of Canadians. Autoimmune diseases are conditions in which a person’s immune system – which is designed to attack invading germs and foreign substances – attacks the body instead. Allergy is another type of immune over-activation. With allergy, the immune system “over-reacts” after a person is exposed to a chemical, food or drug, but doesn’t attack the body.

Allergies and autoimmune disease have several known causes such as vitamin deficiency, low adrenal function, chronic infection, endorphin deficiency, poor diet and glyphosate or heavy metal exposure. Even though many of these causes are documented in the medical literature dating back decades, most doctors are not aware of them and therefore do not address them. What’s worse is that the standard accepted treatments for autoimmune disease often consists of medicines that weaken the immune system, putting the person at risk of serious infections or cancer. In some cases, life-altering surgery may even be recommended.

At Sano Via, we use advanced non-invasive diagnostic testing to search for causes of allergies (ranging from mild up to anaphylaxis) and autoimmune disease. Based on the testing, we can design specific wellness plans that corrects these underlying problems. In difficult cases we can use non-specific immune modulating therapies that do not weaken the immune system. Our personalized evidence-based approach is based on analysis of published research from around the world. This allows us to address allergy and autoimmune disease effectively, reducing the need for potentially harmful medication or even major surgery.

Chronic Infection Management

Infections with bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi are common problems. In a healthy person, an infection will typically cause illness for a short time, then the body’s natural defenses will clear the germs. Sometime the body is not able to clear the infection. This may be related to the type of germ, a weak immune system or other factors. Persistent infection is called chronic infection. Chronic infections are often hidden due to mild symptoms, which may not be typical symptoms of acute infection (like high fever).

At Sano Via, we use highly advanced diagnostics such as bacterial or viral DNA PCR testing to find hidden infections. Our powerful therapies enhance your natural immunity and also help to directly kill the offending germs with minimal or no side-effects. In some cases, infections that have persisted for months or years can be cleared in just a few weeks. Infections that cannot be cleared can often be controlled or put into remission.

We can search for underlying factors that lead to weak immunity and also correct them using non-toxic medications or powerful natural methods. Our personalized evidence-based approach is based on analysis of published research from around the world. This allows us to assist your recovery from chronic infections and kick-start your return to optimal health.

Examples of infections we address include:

  • Candida
  • Chlamydia pneumoniae
  • Cytomegalovirus (CMV)
  • Hepatitis B, C
  • Herpes simplex virus (HSV 1, HSV 2)
  • Herpes zoster virus (varicella zoster / “shingles”)
  • HIV / AIDS
  • Lyme (Borellia / Rickettsia and co-infections with Bartonella, Babesia, Ehrlichia)
  • Mycoplasma species
  • Parasites
  • Prostatitis or urethritis, chronic (chlamydia, ureaplasma, mycoplasma, trichomonas)

Cancer Prevention

Cancer was rated as the leading cause of death in Canada in 2018 (data from Stats Canada). Cancer consists of an uncontrolled growth of cells that form masses (tumors) and also spread through the body.  Cancer leads to a decline in the function of the body, a loss of quality of life and if left unmanaged, eventually leads to death.

There are different theories about the causes of cancer. Current scientific data shows that things that cause or contribute to cancer are: aging, smoking, chronic infection, poor diet, genetic factors, toxins in the body, a weak immune system, certain medications or chemicals, radiation exposure, abnormal cell metabolism (mitochondrial dysfunction), chronic inflammation (e.g. autoimmune disease) and other factors.

At Sano Via Wellness, we can determine various individual factors that lead to cancer using advanced non-invasive testing and we correct them using non-toxic medications or powerful natural therapies. Our personalized evidence-based approach is based on analysis of published research from around the world. This allows us to design a powerful cancer prevention program for you, and even potentially reverse pre-cancerous changes in the body.
